47357 got some fame for being the last steam train to be restored at derby works. The 3F moved back to the Midland Railway Centre with the running number of 16440 (Seen all over as a Hornby OO gauge model).  After 47357 did sterling service at the Midland Railway Centre the locomotive was withdrawn for a major overhaul, but unfortunately due to price issues the locomotive is awaiting overhaul in a non operational condition

A group of enthusiasts from the Midland Railway Centre want to see the locomotive in steam again and so This appeal was set up and with your help we hope to raise enough funds so 47357 can live on.
